St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl

It all started at Dixie’s Tavern where we signed in and got our t-shirts, beads, and schedule.

We left ahead of schedule to beat the crowd. The Alley Cat seemed more like a dance club but it was fun until the crowd showed up.

Next was Buckhead Salon to watch the UNC game.

After the game, we went to Phil’s. We had a lot of fun yelling at the crowd through the big front window.

At this point we were getting hungry and walked over to Rockbottom. It is a great restaurant and micro-brewery. I had the best fish tacos ever(and I know my fish tacos).

After lunch, we went to Brick & Barrel and had a dance party with a group of girls. The music was from the 80’s which made it time to pull out the retro dance moves.

We left B&B and headed over to Whiskey River where we all rode the bull. Poor bull only had one horn.

Well, it was a fun and memorable day. If you are ever in Charlotte on St. Patty’s Day, you have to check out Rich & Bennett’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl.

Big Dog’s 2nd Birthday

Zeke turned two yesterday on St. Patrick’s Day.

We spent a lazy day at home.

Then I made some special doggy cookies. Recipe below.

He loves them.

That’s my St. Patty’s Boy!

Baby Food Doggie Cookies

3 jars baby food, meat, beef, veggie

1/4 cup cream of wheat or wheat germ

1/4 cup dry milk

Combine ingredients in bowl and mix well. Roll into small balls and

place on well-greased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork. Bake in

preheated 350 degree oven for 15 min. until brown.

Cool on wire racks and STORE IN REFRIGERATOR. Also freezes well.

I use wheat germ in this recipe and only 2 jars of baby food. The batter will be thick and sticky. I also add a dash of garlic powder for his breath. Hope your doggy enjoys them as much as Zeke does.
