So, NC Man yelled for me then went running into the kitchen and grabbed tongs. “You won’t believe this!” I followed him back to the bathroom, thinking there was a creature in the bathroom. We are in the south afterall. You never know what will get into the house.

Oh, there was a creature alright. Right there in the toilet. About 8 inches long and made of plastic!

How does such a thing happen, you may ask? Honestly, I have no idea! But the toothbrush was removed with a sergeons gentle touch. Note the kitchen tongs! Yeah, gross, I know. (they will be thoroughly disinfected!!! the tongs, I mean!)

Just too funny! I had to share. Well, looks like I am off to the store to buy more toothbrushes.

Have a fun day,

I thought we were heading to the Carousel Festival in Burlington, NC over the weekend. Instead, it turned out to be Friday Family Night in the Park. The Festival is later in the year. Anyway, the carousel, train, and other rides were running. They had blow-ups, food and games for the kiddies. It was a lot of fun! I love a festival type atmosphere.

North Myrtle Beach

A few weeks ago, we went to spent a long weekend with a friend of ours in North Myrtle. He has recently helped to open a restaurant in Little River, SC. Papis Texican Grill is a delicious little restaurant with a great atmosphere.

If you are in the area, you have to check out Happy Hour from 4-7pm daily. Drafts are $1, margaritas $2, and $1 tacos. After happy hour, stick around for a delicious Texas inspired meal. The Chicken Enchiladas were my favorite, although all of the food was fantastic! The rice and beans are the best I have ever had.

The Carnitas were fantastic too!

myrtle 005Oh yeah, the homemade  Jalapeno Cream Sauce is pretty spectacular too!

Give it a try!
